You've captured a great expression - he looks very inquisitive.
I love the colours in the background - they contrast brilliantly with the white of the bird's feathers and really make it stand out. The bokeh isn't amazing, but it's not bad.
The focus and shallow DOF are good - they really help to force attention to the eye. I also like how the sides of the bird's body start near the bottom corner of the frame - they lead the eye upwards and towards the head very effectively.

The only problem I can see is that you've cut off the ends of his feathers on the left side of the frame. There's not much you can do about that now, though, so never mind.
